Kill my boss? Do I dare live out the American dream?

Deep Thoughts With Kevin

January 24th, 2008 by Kevin

Ok I\’ve collected a series of items that while I find interesting and/or have some snarky comment on, doesn\’t really warrant a full post. So here\’s some of them….

– Illegal aliens kill more Americans in ONE YEAR, than the total number of US deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan combined! Presumably illegal aliens are just killing Americans that Al-Qaeda terrorists won\’t then?? And considering that has been more progress in Iraq and Afghanistan than on illegal immigration, can I start yelling \”Quagmire!\” yet??

– President Bush looks like he will NOT be signing an executive order to force Congress to, well follow the law, on earmarks. Rather than tell Congress to get bent, he\’s apparently going to let all those expenditures that aren\’t in the actual laws, have the force of law. Why? I dunno. Apparently he doesn\’t want to pick a fight with Congress, because Congress has been so friendly to him lately??? Other than a few hurt feelings because politicians couldn\’t bribe their supporters with our money, I don\’t see a net loss here?? Net benefit?? The GOP finally gets credibility on spending. So signing the executive order is a win-win situation???? THAT explains why President Bush isn\’t doing it.

Afghanistan has an Air Force now!! Sweet….although granted it\’s made up of the old worn-out donated equipment of various countries. But still, it\’s a start. Presumably France\’s surrender papers are in the mail by this point.

– Looks like the UN Security Council is about ready to draft some sanctions on Iran. My guess is that sternly written letter is just around the corner. Perhaps even a wagging finger and disapproving frown is in the near future as well. At which point the UN will have exhuasted it\’s bag of tricks.

– Have the Terminator and Matrix movies taught us nothing?!?? Apparently not, as Israel is planning basically creating their own \”SkyNet\” system. Hmmm, interesting. What could go wrong? Morpheus, please call your office.

– I hate to say I told you so, because it\’s a lie, I love to say it. Finally the African-American community is realizing that illegal immigration sucks, just plain sucks. They\’ve suddenly noticed what many of us immigration activists have been saying all along. That minorities are disproportionately negatively affected by illegal immigration. They are watching their neighborhoods go to hell and their jobs disappear, and they\’re starting to wonder why they are supporting liberal politicians who keep telling them that illegal immigration is a good thing. That sound you hear is the pot at the end of the rainbow coalition exploding.

– Pelosi scores a major success!! Coming off the heels of monumental failure in the House, Pelosi has finally gotten something done. She has replaced the standard cafeteria menu with uber-expensive snobbishly-elitist eco-friendly menu choices, and the Congressional staff just love it!!! Nah, just kidding, they all hate it and think it sucks.

– According to Canadians, our presidential election is mind-numbingly simple to figure out which way we should all vote…

Now consider the state of debate in each party. While the Republicans compare tax proposals and the best way to prosecute the War on Terror, Democrats are divining the patterns and meaning of the glitter and dried macaroni glued to the page of one of their leading candidate\’s kindergarten projects.

Does this decision not become unsettlingly simple?

Well, when you put it THAT way…..yes! And that\’s the least convincing of the arguments presented. Check it out.
