Rep. Madore Has A Rather Interesting Set of Ethics

The First Rule of Holes, is a relatively simple concept. When you find yourself in one, stop digging. It\’s a simple concept that many people fail repeatedly, especially politicians. However, it seems that Rep. Shelley Madore (DFL – Apple Valley) is writing a new corollary to the rule.
If you see someone is digging their own grave, don\’t jump in it with them.
She thinks that Al Franken has come clean about his tax troubles and has taken responsibility, therefore we should all leave him alone. Unfortunately (for her), as Gary Gross points out, Al Franken hasn\’t come close to accepting responsibility.
For Shelley Madore, it\’s only unfortunate that it came out, not that he didn\’t pay his taxes. For Shelley Madore, accepting responsibility means denying accusations, blaming other people and using his underlings as human shields.
Clearly Shelley Madore follows a different ethical standard than the rest of us.

It’s amazing how much loyalty $500 will buy. Oh, yea, she received $500 from Midwest Values PAC for her campaign, founded and operated by none other than…Al Franken. Check out who they gave money to in 2006…interesting.
