		<description>Republicans first have to complete their circular firing squad exercise and then realize they NEED a strategy, before coming up with one.  We have far too many conservatives who thought that, so long as they didn&#039;t vote for a Republican, they could prevent &quot;some liberal&quot; from winning the election.  That&#039;s not a strategy that works.   

I&#039;m reasonably convinced that the &quot;misery index&quot; made popular in the Carter years will be in miserable shape by the time election rolls around.  Employment will still be bad, even if it&#039;s begun to recover, and interest rates will be sky-high and climbing.</description>
