Both Mack and Gerlach were a bit part of the BRT effort. Gerlach has been a big supporter of that from the beginning.

Rep. Madore did support formulas which HEAVILY favored Minneapolis schools over suburban schools. As far as I can tell Rep. Mack has not done that.

And “bringing home the bacon” is not a good measure of a politician. I’d rather have them not spending my money at all, rather than bringing it back to the district.

Yes, you made the claim that Rep. Madore was funding Mpls. schools over our schools & you infered that Mack would not. As you know, Mpls & St Paul get more because of federal funding, much of it for free lunches for poor kids. Mack is just there as a easy vote for the caucus. Madore brought home the taxes we had paid, Mack can not & will not. I noticed she was not at the ground breaking for the BRT in Apple Valley, Gerlach was. Madore got us that money & now we have the BRT, but we need a bit more & Mack’s party leaders want that money for their areas. We need someone who will help us, Mack has no intention or understanding of this, & she does not answer her e-mails.

Yeah, they are a simple tool. And they also have a rather unfortunate reputation. I don’t see politicians trying to restrict the use of hammers much. So hammer users aren’t under quite the stigma and threat that gun owners are.

These gatherings are to demonstrate that there is nothing wrong with people carrying. We’re just average people who happen to be carrying.

It’s also meant to reunite old friends and make new ones. A lot of us communicate often online, but due to us living all over the state, we don’t often get to see each other in person. These gatherings are a good excuse to do so.

As far as Tara goes, I’m not sure I ever made that claim. And besides which I’m not her spokesman. I can give you the information on how to contact her if you want??

As a former NRA member, life long hunter, current gun owner & former suburban police dept. member, I think I know a few things about guns. I have no problem with conceal/carry laws. Guns are a tool, just like a hammer, obviously for a different purpose, but I dont see hammer owners holding parties & showing off their hammer ownership, but hey, I dont polka either. As to your ability to handle my talking points, if I may quote your favorite president: “bring it on”. Oh, and by the way, I’m still waiting for the bill that you said Tara Mack was going to sponsor to bring all that Mpls school money back to Dakota County?

First of all I call bullshit on your MPLS cop training. Carrying a firearm with a permit is completely legal, and the cops were aware of our presence. No problems.

You really are new to the whole firearm thing aren’t you?

I generally don’t go anyplace I feel my life would be endangered, so by definition any place that something does happen would be a place it’s not expected. And really who would have thought the mall, Valleyfair, or your home would all be places you could be attacked? But all those place have recently had deadly attacks in Minnesota.

You keep dragging out your tired talking points, I’ll keep putting them out of their misery.

Concerned for their own safety at Lkae Harriet? Afraid they would get mugged by some old ladies? Just remember the Mpls. cops train thier officers , if they see a person packing heat, to take them down to the ground & while kneeling on their neck, to dis-arm them & ask to see their permit. Maybe they should party in Fridley.

I don’t remember the movie, but it’s where the bad guys bust into a meeting hall, intending to take hostages and hold off the cops, only to discover it’s an NRA meeting, bristling with firearms. I’m having a happy little mental image of some mugger breaking into your little soiree’ and being similarly dissuaded from his chosen career.
