Deep Thoughts With Kevin

June 1st, 2009 by Kevin

Finally a down weekend.  Spent Friday night with a new group of friends, otherwise I barely left the house and was able to get stuff done around here at my own pace.  I gotta find the chance for weekends like this more often.

\"\" Does it strike anyone else as a bad thing that we\’ve already expended more time and energy determining if American Idol voting has been tampered with than we do verifying that voting in our real elections are being compromised??

\"\" It\’s probably a bad thing that politicians now feel comfortable openly admitting they haven\’t read the bill they are voting on.

\"\" Although it is a good thing that more women are buying firearms and getting carry permits….and it\’s been long overdue.

\"\" And for the record, there are few things hotter than a woman in hunting attire carrying a firearm in a manner that makes it clear she\’s done this before.

\"\" The Tenth Amendment is making a comeback….that\’s definitely a good thing.  But it\’s going to take a spark to really make a difference.  What\’s it gonna be?

\"\" It\’s always amusing when the incredibly obvious occurs but still manages to surprise liberals.  When you keep \”taxing the rich\” more and more, eventually they leave….being rich they have ready options elsewhere.

\"\" Anyone else find it a little amusing that this Climate Control Conferences are doing more for the local sex industry than they are for global warming?? And now that I think of it, isn\’t all that heavy breathing emitting a lot of carbon??

\"\" Nationwide, background checks for firearm purchases are up 25%.  In Minnesota, they are up 49%.

\"\" A study is conducted on why men are increasingly enrolling in college at lower rates than women.  What\’s NOT studied is the effect on men when college cultures treat men as  the after-effects of some social experiment gone wrong and spend most of their efforts trying to make men into womyn.

\"\" Again, it\’s always amusing when the incredibly obvious occurs but still manages to surprise liberals.  When you keep screwing over stockholders in favor of the unions, people stop investing in unionized businesses.

\"\" I\’d feel a little more comfortable about Obama handling the North Korea situation if he kept a consistent position for more than 24 hours.  Of course he was on the golf course for at least 4 of those.

\"\" Someone finally finds a use for Twitter….heh, I didn\’t say it was a good use or even not stupid but at least it\’s a use.

\"\" When the Bush Administration suggests plastic and duct tape as a defense against a WMD attack, it\’s silly and stupid.  When the Obama Administration suggests painting everything white to combat global warming, it\’s an awesome totally smart idea.

\"\" That whole cancer thing apparently having been solved, science throws it\’s efforts into figuring how your personality dictates how you hold your drink.

\"\" Yeah, I\’ve heard the sex slows down (or ends) after you get married but this guy might be taking things a bit too far…and a bit premature.

\"\" Oh granted this is aggregated over 160 polls, but supposedly conservatism is making a comeback in the midwest.   Honestly I\’m not seeing it.  I\’m seeing conservatives getting more organized so they\’re becoming more visible, but I\’m not sure they are really increasing in numbers quite yet.  Although after four years of this administration, I\’d be surprised if that stayed the case.

  1. Harvey Says:

In the global warming idiot’s defense, he said he wanted to “make” roofs white and roads concrete colored, not “paint”, so the statement is less moronic than it seems.

Or possibly more, since painting would be cheaper.

Oh, and I make my roof white every winter, so I’m doing my part.
