What Happens When The Majority Ignore Parlimentary Rules

May 19th, 2009 by Kevin

A very undignified end to a do-nothing legislative session…

The House…

The Senate…which is even worse

Legally they are all adults….but reality is a whole other kettle of fish.

  1. J. Ewing Says:

The stupidity is unbounded, isn’t it? If the whole purpose of this complete flouting of the rules of procedure and decorum were so that a huge tax increase could pass the legislature, as it appears, when it was headed for a certain REPEAT veto and no chance of override, it was not only stupid but pointlessly so. If the GOP can’t make political hay out of this, then they are stupider than the DFL, and that is a pretty tough thing to do.
