		<description>You are correct on all counts, and we ought to do everything we can,including &quot;literally&quot; melting the switchboards again, if that&#039;s what it takes and it probably does.   I do think, though, that you underestimate one positive factor in all of this.  Democrats and liberals, remember, get full credit for their INTENTIONS with legislation, not for what it actually does, and not even for actually passing it into law.  They can thus have their cake and eat it, too, just by bringing it up and letting a few safe-seat Dems vote with those EEEEVIL Republicans to kill it.</description>
