Obama likes to compare himself to Lincoln, but Lincoln would almost certainly be horrified by Obama\’s policies.
\”You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves\”.
– Abraham Lincoln

But see times were different when lincoln said those words… so if you break down what he said, and what he meant, you get two different endpoints.. how are we supposed to really know what he meant by “wage payer” and what qualifie someone as “rich”? and lincoln only mentions helping men.. women were clearly exempt from his wisdom… there is clearly no way you can translate this to the modern era and the problems we face today.
