This Is Not The Scandal You\’re Looking For

September 3rd, 2008 by Kevin

So the big news lately is about the Palin families and their babies, both born and unborn. The lefty blogosphere has been trying to nail shit to the wall, seeing what will stick and may have accidentally hit something….or did they?

It started out with claims at the Daily Kos that Trig Palin, wasn\’t really Sarah Palin\’s son, but her grandson. Supposedly Trig was really the son of Sarah\’s daughter, Bristol. So yes, the most visible woman in Alaska faked a pregnancy just to hide her daughter\’s pregnancy. Sure makes perfect sense….at least I\’m sure it does in some alternative dimension.

But having flung that out there. It turns out that no, four-month old Trig (born April 18th, 2008) is definitely Sarah Palin\’s baby, because well she just recently gave birth. And besides it\’s physically impossible since Bristol is five months pregnant with her own baby.

Wow, anyone else think it\’s an awfully big coincidence that the first dart that is blindly thrown into the abyss hits just adjacent to the bullseye?? What\’s the liklihood that this attempt at a hit piece wasn\’t prepackaged by someone??

Now the Obama campaign is attempting to take the high road, and declaring that Palin\’s family should not be a campaign issue. Notably that makes Palin the only person Obama isn\’t willing to throw underneath the bus. Even though his cronies are openly advertising money for dirt on Palin. So while I have no evidence that there were any shenanigans by Obama\’s campaign, it just seems an awfully big coincidence.

Especially since Obama\’s responses to the announcement of Palin has been ridiculous to the extreme. In fact, for whatever reason, Obama has been trying to demonstrate his superiority to the BOTTOM of the GOP ticket. And to do that he had to purposely minimize her accomplishments, by ignoring her current position as governor. Then he had to exaggerate his own by claiming that campaigning for office counts as executive experience, nevermind that he\’s hired a CEO to run his campaign for him.

It appears that not only was Obama taken by surprise by Palin\’s appointment, but his campaign both views her as a threat, but at the same time aren\’t quite sure how to handle her. The kitchen sink approach seems to be answer. Although I rather suspect things like this \”baby scandal\” is going to backfire on Obama. I rather welcome the implosion.
