Okay so recovering from mono. Pain is gone, fatigue remains. I’ve heard everything from three months to one year for that to go away. But heh, no more spending my day in a drug induced haze!! Yeah for lucidity! However, end result is basically I just spent a solid month sleeping, and there is a backlog of crap for me to do. Everything from projects around the house, to political work, to catching up at work (apparently I still have a job!), social events, to just plan not being a hermit. So yeah, I spent a month sleeping and now I just spent an entire paragraph bitching about sleeping. That’s what you get here at EckerNet…high quality blogging. Why do you continue to come here again???

Just a note of frustration. If you’re applying for your carry permit in Dakota County, be aware that they basically interpret that whole “the sheriff has 30 days” legal requirement to mean “whenever we damn well get around to it”. And from talking with others calling them and asking what the hold up is is about as accurate as asking a Ouija board.

Obama is apparently saying he wants to double the size of the military??? According to the Messiah, “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.” I thought liberals usually bitch about the size of our defense budget, now he wants to double it?? I mean the military has nuclear aircraft carriers and billion dollar bombers….translate that to a civilian force and what do you get?? I haven’t a clue….and I don’t think Obama does either.

Apparently Obama believes that ICE agents are terrorists? What is it about Democrats that just can’t understand how to define terrorists??

Remember when Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki talked about how he wanted timetables for US withdrawl. No, well that’s probably cause he didn’t actually say that, it’s just how the media reported it. But remember how Obama used that as an opportunity to call for US withdrawls and used his superior judgement to come up with a plan to do so?? Well according to the military (whose done this redeployment thing quite a bit) Obama’s plan is logistically impossible…..assuming we don’t want to make Dunkirk look like an orderly rear action.

Although in Obama’s defense, his plan has never changed, whether we were winning or “losing” in Iraq. Wait….that’s not really a defense….that’s just plain stupid. Nevermind.

Heh, just by threatening to drill more oil the price of a barrel of oil dropped. Imagine if we actually….you know….well, drilled.

Apparently the World Court thinks it is more powerful than US Courts, despite the US Supreme Court already telling them to get bent. According the the World Court, this whole sovereignty thing is a naive custom of the past.

The DNC picked Denver as the location of their national convention in hopes of securing Colorado as a blue state in 2008. However, the planning of the convention has been an absolute mess. The funding has been atrocious, which means the city may have to pick up the tab. But now it appears that the one benefit cities get from these conventions (increased local business) isn’t coming to fruition. Recently polling indicates Colorado is leaning left, but I have to imagine all this craziness is eventually going to work against the Democrats.
