Well guess what? I talked to quite a few people in the military active, reserve, both in the Army and National Guard. Their answers/experience varied. However, they did agree on one thing, that while it’s not unheard of, it is at the very least rather odd. And they all agreed that yes it was worth questioning and getting an answer to.

Where they remain, unseen to everyone but me, until I approve them…to ensure it’s not a spammer. And to be honest 90% of my moderation queue is very clever spammers.

Those so called deleted comments?? That’s where they were. Now typically by the end of the day I’d approve them when I got home from work. In this case I’m very ill and my number of conscious hours of the day are minimal.

But guess what, when you can’t even wait a measly couple of hours before pulling out the conspiracy theories and making wild accusations then guess what? Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

You are one of the more reasonable members of the ScafieNet wannabe set. Why do you continue to scrub comments, specifically Hal at Blue Man, that demonstrably refute the whole point of your screed.

In the pre-Iraq war Army, it would take nearly 4 years to make Captain. For someone to leave after 5 years after making Captain is pretty consistent with what I witnessed with a lot of officers I worked with.

Passed over for promotion? It usually takes 10 years to make Major.

But let’s get back to the topic at hand. The more I think about this whole situation, whether or not Sarvi has released his records from the last few years is irrelevant. What I want to see are his records from the time that he was on active duty. He doesn’t give a good explanation for why he left the service at that point, but I’d be willing to bet that Sarvi left because he was passed over for promotion. Why else would a Captain leave the service after only 5 years of duty in the pre-Clinton era?
