Skoula Sucks

April 10th, 2008 by Kevin

No posts today….was at Wild game, just got back.

One comment I need to get off my chest. Skoula f-ing sucks. Just plain blows. Never liked him. Then he plays one good period to get my hopes up, then starts sucking again and then costs us the game.

Surely there has to be a paraplegic out there we could sign instead of him???

UPDATE: Commenter TJ2000 points out I am the top google hit for Skoula Sucks. I\’m proud.

It\’s also probably also worth noting this isn\’t just a response to the loss, or Skoula\’s performance last night. And I\’m not the only one with this opinion. I present Article A, last night when Skoula\’s name was announced on the starting line, the crowd booed…..that\’s right booed. The entire fan base of the Wild hate the game and he\’s costing us games.

Why is he still on the roster again?

UPDATE: My baby sis\’s boyfriend is apparently enjoying my suffering. He passes along this gem….

I was at the game as well, and I have no clue why he was out there for damn near the entire overtime.

He had at least 3 turnovers IN OUR ZONE, and then on the game winner he just stood there watching two Avs set up shop in front of Backstrom.

I have no clue why this guy is in the NHL to begin with, let alone on the first line, getting a large amount of minutes.

ps: good work on being the first hit of a google search for “skoula sucks”

It might have nice if Gabby had decided to show up last night. When you best player is pretty much a…

    non-factor

…you’re not going win many playoff games.

  3. DJ Says:

Don’t take this as defending him, but apparently he injured his leg in that game and was nearly immobile for the end of the 3rd and all of OT. That said, why was he out there?

Also, I heard he might not play in Friday’s game because of it.

He who wins in the playoffs is usually the healthiest. I think we’re screwed.

I heard he got hurt and he’s probably out for Friday. Have no idea when it happened.

However, if that is the excuse that one wants to use for him. Then, like you say, why was he out there?? I can think of two possibilities
    1) Skoula didn’t tell Lemaire he was hurt…in which case he’s an idiot and an a-hole
    2) Lemaire knew but still put him out there, in which case he’s an idiot and an a-hole.

I leave it to others better paid than I to know which is which.

Copied from Wikipedia so it MUST be true!

“Despite these successes and a solid statistical record, Škoula was often criticized by fans for poor defensive positioning and decisions, and offensive ability that failed to live up to expectations.”

We need to pull off a win tonight because I don’t foresee us taking three from them on their own ice.
