Same Play, Different Game

February 6th, 2008 by Kevin

As much as I dislike Hillary, I would much much prefer to face her in 08 than Obama. In fact, I endorsed her for the Democratic nomination for just that reason, she is an AWFUL candidate. Even putting aside issues, she is just a horrible candidate. The political machine that is behind her is the only reason she hasn’t folded already.

Obama on the other hand, still bad on the issues (at least in my opinion) but he’s a great politician. Almost to Bill Clinton levels. However, as Hannity points out at least one issue that was used against John Kerry, could be used with equal effectiveness against Obama (same could apply to Hillary too).

No accomplishments.

For John Kerry, it was that he’s spent 20 years in Congress and hasn’t done a damn thing. Obama hasn’t spent that long in Congress but he’s equally devoid of any accomplishments. And he doesn’t exactly have a whole lot to point to outside of politics as proof of his abilities to get something done.

Hillary, well, she’s married (at least legally) to Bill Clinton, former President and superstar politician. But political accomplishments? Nothing. Quite literally nothing. About the only thing she did on her own merits was be a corporate lawyer.

Both of these dovetail quite nicely into lack of experience.

It’s up to our nominee, to frame the Democratic candidate early on as the “do-nothing” candidate.

“Do nothing” is dated. How about the “done nothing” candidate?
