Newsflash : Ron Paul Supporters “Not Rational”

January 14th, 2008 by Kevin

Stop the presses!!! This late-breaking release from the Department of “Well Duh!”, describes the “voter fraud” of New Hampshire

Human error, by someone unknown, caused Call’s office to claim Paul received zero votes from the town during Tuesday’s first-in-the-nation primary.

Paul actually got a whopping 31 votes.

Out of 920 cast.

Launch an investigation. Alert the media.

The mistake was corrected early the next morning, but that hardly mattered. The Paul machine, upon reading the number in print, quickly went into counteroffensive mode.

This is luck at its worst. Screw up Rudy Giuliani’s vote total. Or John McCain’s. Or John Edwards’s. Or Bill Richardson’s.

But never, ever get anything wrong when it comes to Paul and his voting tally. If you do, fans who shouted from the rooftops through the primary season will track you down and chew you out.

“Most of the these people are not rational,” Call said.

Check it out.

Ron Paul supporters, if you ever wondered why people consider you insane and immediatly turn themselves off to your message, this is the reason. Anyone that pays attention to presidential politics, has repeatedly heard stories like this.

I applaud you on your energy and persistence to a rather hopeless goal. But if you’ve ever wondered if you’re overdoing it, the answer is “YES!!!”.

Surely, there are other, less bigoted, causes you can devote yourself that don’t involve annoying the sanity out of others.

I think we have found the Dennis Kucinich of the Republican Party– the candidate that is the natural choice of the lunatic fringe of the party. I had dismissed him as my choice because, while he was right on principle in all cases, he was wrong on the practical application of some of them, including the biggest one– the war on terror. Get that one wrong, and none of the rest mattered. So he’s off my list.

Lately, though, after seeing some of the insane rantings of RP supporters, I must conclude that his issue positions are so insane, so based in conspiracy theories and fantasyland misperceptions about the real world, that he should never be allowed within a parsec of the Presidency.

“Annoying the sanity out of others”?

I’m pretty sure that’s caused by the whole election season and several of the candidates themselves, and not just Ron Paul supporters.

You’ve got to not generalize things like that, Kevi.

  3. Kevin Says:

You failed to read the article didn’t you Diva?

It was not the election season or the candidate himself that caused this problem (and many others). It was his supporters.
