Ethical Boobs

January 13th, 2008 by Kevin

So here\’s a ethical question for you to start out your day.

If a woman gets breast implants, and later has a daughter. When that daughter reaches puberty, is the mother morally obligated to inform her daughter of the augmentations?? The reasoning being that the daughter can take that into account for her expectations of her own development? Otherwise, wouldn\’t said daughter feel slighted or inadequate if her development, predictably, doesn\’t meet up to her expectations?

Note : I\’m pretty sure there is an equivalent ethical question for pretty much any cosmetic surgery, I just chose my favorite.

P.S. Yeah, I\’m a pig, so what? This is the type of stuff I ponder while driving, lest road rage take over.
