The Inside Track : We\’re Been Played For Fools

June 14th, 2007 by Kevin

I\’ve never been so discouraged by our Republican Senate Leadership.  John Hawkins of RightWingNews got a chance to talk with a Senate Aide that he\’s worked with in the past.  In my opinion, this source has passed on very good information in the past, so I take his post about the conversation as very solid.  So first of all go read how we\’re all being played for a fool.

We need to make it clear to our Senators that they have more to fear from us than they do from the White House.  Bush is a lame duck with no public support.  McCain has even less support.   And if they think this isn\’t gonna hurt the party in 2008 they are delusional.

Fortunately we here in Minnesota have more at our disposal then others do.  Coleman is up for re-election in 2008.  What more, he has not exactly been a stellar senator for awhile now.  He\’s got a tough re-election campaign coming up where he is one of the top targets of the Democrats.  And now there are rumors that Repya is contemplating a run against Coleman in the primaries.   Is this really the time for Coleman to be burning political capital?? No, and that needs to be made clear to him.  Feel free to let him know at 202-224-5641.
