For you Minnesotans, Coleman voted for America, Klobuchar voted for Mexico.

For all you Republicans that voted for this piece of shit bill, thank you for your service, now get the fuck out. If you can\’t even side with us on a bill that would determine the very survival of this country, who needs you?? Every one of you is very likely to see a primary challenger your next time up. In fact, Hagel already has one. I welcome more.

This Amnesty Bill has now been pulled from the floor. And despite some brave speeches from pro-amnesty folks it sounds like this bill is truly dead. There just isn\’t time and I think both sides are going to be glad to be rid of this political landmine for awhile.

Harry Reid made a big show on the floor of stressing that this was the President\’s bill. Not that I\’m surprised, he\’s actually telling the truth this time. It was Bush that pushed it. It was Bush that insulted us all with his rhetoric. It was Bush that has been ignoring the borders. It was Bush that valued the Border Patrol so little he actually assigned hundreds of Border Patrol agents to non-immigration duties. And it was Bush that sent his cronies and lackies out to defend this piece of shit bill. This is well and truly Presidents Bush\’s loss. And thank God for that!!!

But Reid is smart here. Absolve himself of all responsibility, put it on the Republicans. Then they can go back to their anti-amnesty constituents and claim they helped prevent the President from passing such an awful bill. And then to the pro-amnesty crowd they can claim they voted for it but the evil Republicans wouldn\’t let it through. Unfortunately it\’ll work.

Sure it was the Republicans that saved us here, but they are going to take a beating on this and rightly so. Their base is not going to forgive this transgression. The fraction of this party may very wel be permanant this time. Despite our narrow victory I think alot of Republicans are going to have seen better days.

So where do we go from here?? Well, I hope to answer that later on. I need a chance to absorb a little more and analysis what happened.
