I have done several posts on government “help”; explaining, or rather, trying to explain, that this great nations government was not formed to “help” but rather to “govern”. That I thank God every day that I don’t get all the government that I pay for.
The government would have had me wear a hard hat as I worked as a Sportfishing mate, Steel toed shoes as I dove for lobster to sell, and yes, I too love fried bacon, LDL cholesterol and all.
My best comparison, in my writings is: Are you satisfied that the government wipes yer butt in a fashion that messy? Wouldn’t it be much cleaner for you to do it yourself?

Here in Wisconsin they run commercials featuring a waitress who says that “it’s not right” that she should have to choose between breathing and having a job.

Eh, no worries. Like I said we enjoyed it and didn’t really mind the conditions.

Heck, when we wanted to take a break we’d usually stand outside the back door and watch the planes. Outside the back door was basically on the taxiway so we were even closer to the jet exhaust.
