EckerNet On Deployment

December 10th, 2006 by Kevin

My employer has seen fit to ask me to go out to DC for a few days. So for the next few days I\’ll be living the life of luxury in our nation\’s capital all on the company dime. Which, since we work almost exclusively for the US government, means I\’ll be living the life of luxury off your tax dollars. I hope to spend my time living to Ted Kennedy-scale excess but frankly I\’m not sure my liver is up to that level of abuse, and I\’m not sure my rental car agreement covers driving into ponds.

The point being that posting may be light for the next few days. While I know I will have internet access, I may be too busy trying to stay out of jail to spend much time blogging.

On the plus side, right before I head out to the airport the entire MN Militia will be visiting a local gun show at the Rivercenter. The executive committee has identified several shortcomings of our arsenal (classified information) that will hopefully be solved at said gun show. Plus it seemed a good idea, that right before I get on an airplane, I should handle firearms and get the smell of gun oil and gunpowder all over me.

Tales of adventures may be told on this blog, unless I get arrested in which case a fundraising drive for my bail and legal fund will be forthcoming.
