Keegans Fun

Heck of a turnout last night at Keegans as at least twice as many people showed up than I expected. I\’m glad I did show up, as my plans had originally been to go home and take a nap. Fortuanately, during my last couple hours at work I got pissed off and decided I needed a beer or two.
Gary of KvM brought Washington Times columnist Barry Casselman. Only got to talk with him briefly but for a member of the old media he isn\’t too bad a guy. Conversation was mostly about the 2004 election. Was rather entertaining to hear a member of the old media talk trash about the MSM.
Probably the highlight though was finally meeting this Michael Brodkorb guy, who persists to think he is MDE. A very friendly and easy person to talk to. Probably how he cons all those Democrats to give up their dark secrets. Got to briefly talk to him about the lawsuit he finds himself in, as well as the ambush that Janacek sprung on him on KTLK. An interesting and very personable individual, I wish him luck in his legal troubles and I hope Keegans because a regular watering hole for him
If only my team could have won at trivia it would have been a truly wonderful evening. However, since my team of Dan (North Alliance Wannabe), Andy (Residual Forces), Heidi (Mark Kennedy Press Sec), and myself (this blog) didn\’t know crap about music, Irish edibles or football awards, we were glad to just score in the double digits.
And while we\’re on the subject, I fear that Heidi may try to welch on her bet with me. We were both trying to remember the name of a particular band. A bet was made that the first person that figures it out once they get home wins. I figured it out almost immediatly and it\’s hardly my fault her email address isn\’t located anywhere on her bosses website!
Time will tell. Meanwhile, I encourage everyone to show up and support the Keegans by drinking their kegs dry.

so what do have riding on the bet? is it really worth pursuing? i mean like a case of beer or something? which reminds me… i was comfortable waiting, but now that the two most stingy guys have coughed up thier case, i’m a little concerned about numbers 3 and 4. Granted number 4 has been granted a bit of repreve since he’s defending my freedom, but whats your excuse?

I have beer riding on the bet. And Heidi has since agreed to follow through. There’s nothing better than a Guinness….except maybe a free one!
Yeah, yeah, yeah….now that CC’s lawyers have notified us that an appeal would be useless, then yes I’ll pay up. My excuse…mostly I’m lazy, but you can understand that.

Soo.. I heard about the goings-on on Thursday night, and i have a few words to say.
Ahem:
Boys are gross.
And please, don’t dare my dad to do things. I don’t like it.

Aren’t you a little old by now to be worried about cooties??
He actually did it?? The ol’ bugger. Didn’t know he had it in him.
Now that I now he’s a sucker for a dare, we’ll have to have some fun with him!
See what happens when you skip Keegans?

Hey! I didn’t skip out, that was my dad’s fault.
I’m scared to think of what might have happened if I had been there, though…

Now Now….we are completely harmless. Sorta. Kinda. Mostly.
Ok, at least some of us are.

First of all, buggery had nothing to do with the dare. Secondly, I didn’t have to perform the (relatively mild) dare – I merely had to describe it to her to gross her out. Thirdly, if/when MD returns to Keegan’s, she’s bringing her own bottle of Windex – and a rain coat.
