The Lost Archives Of EckerNet

December 18th, 2005 by Kevin

Okay a big thank you goes out to Marty, who tonite handed me a CDtome of “The Lost Archives Of EckerNet“. As legend would have it these lost archives carry many ancient secrets of our world. Great study will be needed to uncover the mysteries that lie within. However, caution must be used….the mere knowledge of these secrets has been known to cause things to explode (such as the harddrive they were stored on) and grown men to go insane (such as my hosting provider). So I’m going to don my scholarly cloaks, and lock myself in my study to recreate “The Lost Archives Of EckerNet” ( Note To Self : Must find some really cool music for that phrase).

If I get a chance I’ve got what I hope to be a couple fun posts on :

What people keep getting wrong about Israel
AND
The worst reason I’ve ever heard for the Patriot Act…if I wasn’t already for the Act, I would be against it on principle alone because of this reasoning.

Look forward to that….or I’ll just get lazy and not actually write them.

UPDATE 8:40 PM : Entries restored. I skipped restoring the comments. There just isn’t a real easy way of doing that and doing about 250 of them the hard way didn’t sound appealing. This sounds like a good time to make another backup

So when you say back up, do you mean back up someplace other than where you backed up before? Cuz that distaster recovery plan sucked. And all i had to do was wait for you to get back on line…

    Already done.

And I’m fairly certain my hosting person will be looking into a more robust backup system…with armor plating.

What I should have done was give you about half of your posts, and tell you that the other half was gone. Then, after numerous wars are fought over the legendary lost archives, something something…

The idea was funny in my head.

    Post aborted

Actually I thought it was pretty funny too.
