Pro-Hillary My Ass…

I stopped listening to Hugh\’s show because frankly if I didn\’t I would drive my vehicle off the nearest bridge. So I felt it best not to.
But today Speed Gibson posts some excerpts from today\’s show. Among them was this beauty :
If you’re anti-Miers, you’re anti-the President. If you’re anti-the President, you’re anti-the GOP. If you’re anti-the GOP, you’re pro-Hillary. If you’re pro-Hillary, you might as well just appoint nine Ginsburgs to the Supreme Court. That’s where you’re headed. Does that make it simple enough for you? Hmmm? Do you want to give the Senate back?
If this is to be the voice of the Republican Party, if this is to be the approach of the GOP, if this is what the party has become….
…
…then yes, today, you can consider me anti-GOP.
Good job guys. Way to \”save\” the party. How many more members do you have to drive out to meet your goals?
And don\’t even give me this Pro-Hillary bullshit. Dammit I\’m pissed.

Hugh keeps saying that the anti-Miers crowd live on the coasts, but not in flyover country. Is he that out of touch with the base right now? I don’t yet consider myself a partisan on either side, but stupid comments like that are pushing me towards you and Doug. I say let’s have the debate. Hell, let’s have a fight. But backstabbing and distortion are out. That’s just pissing us off.

That’s what pisses me off most.
Now we’ve been reduced to baseless name calling? To me that’s a stunt of the left. And if that’s the best justification for Miers they can provide, to me that indicates absolutely ZERO actual research and logical reasoning behind the pick.
Such a cheap stunt. As is these claims of elitism and sexism. Baseless name-calling at the worst level.
Especially from someone that is supposed to be an ally.
I am disagreeing on the facts of the matter. In return we get called names.
Like I said, if this is to be the new version of the GOP, you can count me out.

And Hugh’s facts aren’t all facts, like we can’t get Janice Rogers Brown through the Senate, or that if we do get Miers confirmed the GOP will roll to victory in 2006/2008.

Which is why it’s so painful to listen to lately. Sure he doesn’t actually lie, but his statements and opinions overlook SOOOO many other things.
Usually he does a pretty good job of tieing up all his loose ends. Which further strengthens my belief that there is really nothing else out there you can say about this woman to try to make her look like the best candidate.
The White House is silent except for cheap shots at their former allies. The pro-Miers crowd keeps spouting the same bullshit that either misses the point entirely or that’s already been shot down as a legit argument.

Everyone has been put in a box by the president. He made a STUPID decision and we’re all paying for it. Hopefully Miers isn’t as stubborn as Bush and “recuses” herself from the nomination.

Do I have to turn in my VRWC decoder ring?
Apparently, because I question the Miers’ nomination, I now support Hillary Clinton.
Hugh Hewitt said it.
