Newest Protected Class : Criminals

While defending the hiring of illegal immigrants, Tom Wilson, co-executive director of the Canal Alliance, an agency that provides assistance to illegals laborers, made the following completely asinine comment:
\”The tack they\’re taking is a particularly troubling one, they\’re painting illegal day workers as criminals, making generalizations about a group of people.\”
So apparently just because you do something illegal, it doesn\’t make you a criminal. Wow, can\’t argue with that type of…\”logic\”.
In entirely unrelated news:
The Ku Klux Klan announced today, that just because they hate black people, doesn\’t mean they are racists.
The Defense Attorney\’s Association has announced that simply because someone kills someone else in cold blood doesn\’t make them a murderer.
The New Orleans Community Action group has declared that just because someone breaks into and steals merchandise doesn\’t make them a burglar.
