Ok so I ran across the following article recently: For those of you that don’t want to actually read the article here’s a summary of it: Recent prints of the famous 1969 photo of the Beatles crossing a street near the Abbey Road studios have been altered to remove the cigarette from Paul McCartney’s hand, reports London’s Sun. Companies, among them U.S. giant Allposters, asked that the cigarette be removed by computer wizardry. It may also be removed for the cover of the Abbey Road album the next time it is re-issued. Anti-smoking activists praised the move, but smokers’ rights groups said it was absurd. Ok, this is absolutely ridiculous. Now we’re changing history because we think it promotes smoking?? This opens up a very dangerous precedence. All I see in this is the beginning of Big Brother. Paul McCartney smoked…big fucking deal. So what?? If you don’t agree with it just explain to your kids you don’t want them to. God forbid you should be a parent once in your life. Changing and altering history to meet your bizarre views doesn’t help anyone. History has happened as it happened. I’ll even quote the Beatles themselves here…LET IT BE!!!! History is not to be changed. And to demonstrate my point:

The Big Man himself about to open a can of whoop ass on the Red Coats I think I’m offended by this portrait of George Washington crossing the Delaware. He’s clearly not fully seated in the boat. This could cause impressionable young children to believe it’s ok to stand up in a boat. How many kids have to fall out of a boat and drown before we change this!?!? Please, think of the children!! This photo needs to be airbrushed immediately!! He should be sitting down in the boat with a life jacket on from now on. Oh and take out the American flag too, that could offend immigrants. And why are all the people in the boat white males?? We should change that. And take out the guns, those are bad. And to make sure we don’t offend our British friends across the pond we should probably rewrite the history books so it says that the Brits won the Revolutionary War and simply gave us the colonies as a show that there were no hard feelings. That way everyone will go away with good self-esteem. See how stupid that sounds??? You PC assholes are fucking nuts. Just cause your offended by something doesn’t automatically means it’s wrong and you have the right or reason to change it. I took this opportunity to read the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I’ve searched all over, and I haven’t found the Right to be Offended anywhere. What a pity. I guess I’ll just have to deal with history as it happened…I suggest you do the same.
