In Today’s News: We’re All Fucked Up

Ok let me start off by saying we are completely messed up. Our societies priorities are completely off balance. Just a few stories in the recent news is enough to demonstrate that. I’m not making any of these up, simply just inserting a little sanity into a completely fucked up world.
First of all, here is a story out of Los Angeles, California. Specifically Rancho Bernardo High School in suburban San Diego. When girls arrived at the dance, their resident moral crusader Vice-Principal Rita Wilson forced girls to prove they were not wearing thong underwear by making them lift their skirts. This was done in front of men and male classmates and campus-cops.
Now my question is what the hell does this stupid bitch think she is accomplishing? And who does she think this is? Since when is it any business of any faculty what students are wearing UNDER their clothing. I understand the idea of a dress code. However, how what students wearing underneath their clothes is any business of the school escapes me. Should the boys have to answer the “Boxers or Briefs?” question when they show up to school?
And why, and I really want to know this….WHY did the other people present allow this to continue? Are we that far gone that we have lost all sense of reality? Personally I think this lady needs to get laid and quit worrying about what her students have on their naughty parts.
Our second story comes from Mellon Middle School in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Here a 11-year girl, drew two stick figures on a crudely drawn gallows (hint: the game Hangman) with arrows through their heads. The stick figures were labeled after two faculty members at her school. She drew this shortly after she got a bad grade on a test and drew this on the back of the test. The faculty in their infinite wisdom interpreted this as a death threat and terroristic.
WHAT THE HELL?!?! Terroristic? How is that a threat? How is that even worthy of notice? A child is mad and expressed it by doodling on a piece of paper. THAT is a threat?! Would you prefer the child acted out in a physical way? This only teaches kids that if you are going to express your frustration you may as well go wild with it cause your going to get expelled no matter what.
Our schools have gone WAY too far in this zero-tolerance thing. The policy should be named zero-intelligence. In this Post 9/11 world we’re taking everything as a threat. I’m starting to think the terrorists truly have won. I mean when I was in school I remember drawing out entire war battles with stick figures some of which were labeled. As I grew older and my artistic skills increased they got more involved. At one point a friend of mine and myself actually created a game out of it. Good thing I’m not a kid now…I’d be expelled. I’ll neglect to point out that I’ve grown up into a normal productive adult who is paying the taxes that pays the salaries of these nazi teachers who overreact to every damn issue.
And our third issue isn’t so much something that happened. Rather it’s hypothetical. It was in reference to the school shooting in Germany. To those of you not familiar with it, basically some kid was pissed for getting expelled from school. He shows up and starts killing teachers and in the end, had killed a quarter of the faculty. Finally a teacher walked up to him and said something like “Go ahead and kill me but look me in the face when you do it”. The kid couldn’t do it. When the teacher saw his hesitation, he seized the advantage by pushing the kid into an empty classroom and locking it. Shortly afterwards the kid committed suicide.
I was relating this event to a friend of mine. After hearing the story he paused a moment and then said, “You know what? If that had happened in America, that kids parents would have sued that teacher for not doing more to prevent the kids suicide”.
And you know what…..he’s right. It WOULD happen. We are that messed up.
I wonder if it’s too late to resign my humanity.
